Meet The Chef
I have always loved cooking!
I was born in Spain, graduated in Economics, got a PhD in Business Administration in Madrid and an MBA in International Economics in Germany. However, my calling has always been cooking. Therefore, I decided to pursue my passion. I trained in some of the most prestigious schools: I got my professional diploma in the Culinary Arts at New University in NYC and got a Pastry's Chef Diploma at Hofmann culinary school in Barcelona. In 2014, when I settled in Dubai, I began my own culinary space: Pilar´s Pantry, to help others enjoy cooking as much as I do.
Protocol expert
Born in Barcelona, Spain, I knew very soon that Hotel Business was my path. I studied Hotel Business at Sant Pol de Mar Hotel school (Spain) and underwent an MBA in marketing and Management at Cornel University - Essec in Paris. I have worked on events, sales and Marketing on different luxury hotels around the world such as Ciga Hotels (Costa Esmeralda, Italy), Regent London, Palace Madrid and Sheraton Brussels.
Protocol defines the rules of behaviour. One should know what cultural etiquette and forms to follow when hosting or interacting with others. I believe that the ability to follow protocol is a reflection of one's self. It is as important as what you wear and how you look and should not be overlooked.
